Abeliophyllum distichum (White Forsythia)

(White Forsythia)
A native from a small area of central Korea. It is endangered in the wild as it is regarded as a medicinal plant with properties similar to Witch Hazel and gets illegally harvested for the black market trade in Korea.

A deciduous shrub related to Forsythia but with white flowers! In late winter/early spring purple buds appear on bare branches and open into small white petalled almond scented flowers. Green foliage follows shortly afterwards.

Prefers full sun though will tolerate part shade. Not fussy on soil condition but not too dry.

Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
