The Acanthus motif was used as a decoration of Greek columns centuries before Christ. Abundant glossy, jagged sometimes prickly leaves form large imposing clumps. The inflorescence of the flowers remains for a long time after the summer blooms have faded. Not fussy on soil conditions in partial shade. Height 150cm (60”). Spread 60-90cm (24-36”). Hardy perennial.
