One of Clair's favourites.
Chocolate fragrance but no temptation to nibble – amazing! This beautiful climber’s flowers, which adorn the plant from March to May, not only have a luxurious spicy scent with a hint of vanilla but produce a fruit, of which the flesh can be eaten! The bright green three lobed leaves will also provide interest in your garden through the winter also as it is semi evergreen and develops a purple tinge in winter. Prefers moist but well-drained soil in sun. Height 10m (33'). Fully hardy perennial.
