Allium schoenoprasum

Bringing texture and architecture to borders and containers, you only have to look at the gardens of The Chelsea Flower show to see their popularity in both formal and more wild flower planting.  During July and August hundreds of tiny blooms form mauve blue globes, looking just like lollipops tempting passing bees and butterflies.  Drought resistant, long lived and great as ground cover.  Height 50cm (20“).  Spread 20cm (8“).  Prefers well drained soil in sun or part shade.  Hardy perennial.
