Anemone nemorosa Blue Eyes (Wood Anemone)


Like many woodland plants, the dainty nodding flowers appear soon after the foliage emerges fresh in early spring. Beautiful carpets of colour develop then disappear back into dormancy before the main canopy overhead fully develops. Happy in borders and containers. Prefers part shade in moist well-drained soil, but can cope with drier conditions during summer dormancy. Height & spread 15-20cm (6-8”). Fully hardy perennial.

Likes to a moist, but well drained humus-rich soil. Drier conditions can be tolerated duirng the summer when dormant. Propagate by seed in spring when the foliage has died back. May cause mild stomach upset if ingested, contact may irritate the skin. Fully hardy perennial.
