Aster Collection

Your very own Aster collection with varieties that have been personally selected from the Plant Heritage Nation Collection, held at Picton Garden close to the Malvern Hills.

There really is no better perennial to light up your garden from late July to November.

Feathery petals in both soft and vivid colours form a beautiful daisy-like shape.
Hundreds of flowers are produced, so much so that you can barely see the foliage.
Your garden will be brought to life by the bees and butterflies as they search for the nectar rich blooms. Excellent as cut flowers too.

Trouble free, unfussy on soil conditions in sun or part shade.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
