Additional Information

Leucanthemum - Dead-head regularly to prolong flowering. Clumps up very quickly. Slug resistant. Cut the flowered stems back to ground level in autumn. Geranium - As a young plant, the root system rather than the top growth dictates the quality of plant that you have received. Once the plant has been potted on for about 6-8 weeks, we suggest that you cut back the top growth to 3cm with a pair of scissors. This allows the roots to mature in the new pot and a perfect flush of foliage with reappear. Delphinium - The plants when fully grown may need staking for support. In growth water all plants freely, applying a liquid fertiliser every 3-4 weeks. Cut back all growth to the ground level after it has withered in the autumn. All parts may cause SEVERE DISCOMFORT if eaten and contact with foliage may irritate skin. Salvia - Attractive to bees and butterflies. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Baptisia - Loved by butterflies, deer resistant. They do not like to be disturbed once planted. Tolerant in coastal regions. Cut down to 4-6" when the foliage is blackened by the frost.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
