Begonia Illumination Apricot Shades


Incredible rose-like flowers up to 10cm (4") across cascade on pendulous stems in shades of orange, apricot and yellow. Your very own golden ray of sunshine on the dullest of days.
Flowering non-stop from May to October, this new and improved plant produces thirty percent more flowers than traditional varieties to give fantastic impact. Trailing to 30cm (12") with compact foliage which forms an even dome in a pot, or ball-shape when grown in a basket. Grow in any well-drained soil in sun or part shade – no dead-heading is required. Half hardy perennial. Supplied as large young plants.

Great plant for baskets and containers. Dead head regularly to prolong flowering. Keep moist until established and throughout the growing season. Feed regularly. Keep the lifted tubers in a frost free envoronment over winter. Take softwood cuttings in summer to propagate.

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
