Generally grown for the large packed clusters of purple bead like berries that adorn the bare branches in autumn and winter. The young foliage is bronze purple turning green in summer then purple in autumn, contrasting with pink flowers that appear in summer. Height & spread 250cm (100”). Prefers well drained soil in sun or part shade. Hardy perennial.
This plant has been given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society for outstanding performance in the garden.
