Delosperma Jewel of the Desert Collection

A fantastic breeding breakthrough. Carpet-like mats of succulent foliage with masses of neoncoloured daisy flowers. Bred in Japan, where garden space is limited so flower power is very important, these incredible plants produce flowers continuously from spring until the first frosts. Commonly known as the ice plant, they can withstand the toughest environments and still shine like a jewel. Beautiful when planted alongside paths or grown between crevices.

 Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Height 10-15cm (4-6"). Spread 25cm (10").

Fully hardy perennials. Supplied as young plants.

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
