Dierama mixed collection

Exquisitely beautiful. Arching wiry ‘rod like’ stems rise through tufts of grassy foliage. Numerous flowers hang, just like fish on a rod from June to August and nod, even on the calmest of days providing continual movement. Evergreen and attractive to bees and butterflies. Prefers sun in moist but well-drained soil. Height 90-100cm (36-40”). Spread 30-50cm (12-20”).

Additional Information

Attractive to bees and butterflies. Water freely when in growth. Can be slow to establish but then trouble free, some flowers may appear in the first years but full flowers will appear after a few years.Just after planting, apply a generous amount of general purpose fertiliser to encourage optimum health and growth during the flowering period. Hardy perennial.

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
