Digitalis (Foxglove) purpurea Alba

The name is said to have arisen from a story about playful fairies, wanting to help the wily foxes. They slipped a foxglove over each paw and ever since, the fox has had the attribute of stealth. They even left their little fairy fingerprints on the blooms in the form of tiny spots as proof.

Huge pure ivory white bells open on the tall spikes and make an impressive statement at the back of the border during late spring and summer. Good for cutting. Attractive to bees. Prefers sun or part shade in moist, well drained soil. Height 120cm (48”). Spread 30cm (12”). Hardy perennial.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
