Erica canaliculata AGM

Erica canaliculate AGM is the ideal specimen for a pot in your home, garden or conservatory. Over time, it will produce an erect, well-branched tree-like stature. From November to February, its tactile stems become smothered in a profusion of cup-shaped soft pink and white flowers, with prominent brown anthers. Its soft needle-like evergreen leaves can require protection if the temperature drops below -5°C, however, its formidable garden performance puts it on the wishlist of many gardeners. In flower it resembles the cut-flower Gypsophila, making it an apt choice for a winter bouquet in your home.

Additional Information

Water your plants once or twice per week when the soil becomes dry, especially during immaturity. Ensure the soil is kept consistently moist but not waterlogged. Once Erica are fully established, they are drought tolerant and rarely require thorough watering unless during prolonged periods of dry weather. You can prune Erica if they look misshapen and unkempt. Provide a light prune at that beginning of spring. Hardy perennial

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
