Erysimum Winter Orchid

Closely related to the Wallflower, this dainty cottage garden perennial provides a breath of fresh air from late winter as it bounces into action by producing many fragrant flowers. Each bloom opens a coppery orange and turns purple as they age.
Flowering until early summer they are great as cut flowers. Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade.
Height 30cm (12”). Spread 40cm (16”). Prefers sun in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Hardy perennial.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
