Eucomis Aloha Nani


New, rare, dwarf bulbous plants, prized for their exotic, show-stopping, coconut scented blooms.
In early summer strong stems emerge through rosettes of wavy, strap-shaped foliage and become densely packed with star-shaped blooms, looking rather pineapple-like, hence the common name. blooming throughout the summer, excellent as cut flowers, lasting a long time in a vase. Easy to grow, with between 3-9 flower heads in the first year. Prefer well-drained soil in sun or part shade.
Height 40cm (16"). Spread 20cm (8"). Fully hardy bulbous perennial supplied as large bulbs size 16/18.

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
