Fritillaria Acmopetala

A rare, unusual Turkish beauty, one of the easiest Fritillaria to grow.

Give your garden a Mediterranean feel each spring as olive-green and spice-red bells nod in the breeze, just waiting for you to peek round the recurved petals into the chartreuse heart. Excellent as cut flowers for your home, or naturalising in your borders. Loved by bees, rabbit and deer resistant. Prefer well-drained soil in part shade. Height 30cm (12”). Spread 10cm (4”). Hardy perennial.

Additional Information

Once the flowering period ends and the leaves die off you may wish to cut back your stems to just above ground level. Provide Fritillaria with an extensive heavy mulch in winter and replace with a top dressing of compost during the spring. Hardy bulbous perennial.

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
