Fuchsia Giant Trailing White King

Fuchsia are said to have been introduced to Britain by a sailor who brought one fromChile and gave it to his wife.
Huge blooms hang form arching stems, trailing to aroung 50cm (20"), from summer to autumn. Prefer well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Height and spread 30cm (12"). Half hardy perennials. Supplied as young plants from April onwards.

Prolonged low temperatures can cause loss of top growth. If this happens cut back to ground level in spring. Feed with high nitrogen feed in flowering season.When the weather becomes colder, remove your plants and store them indoors in an environment such as a porch or conservatory. Propagate by soft wood cuttings in any season. Tender perennial.

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
