Fully hardy perennial. Supplied as young plants.

History of the Hellebore:

Helleborus are more commonly known as the 'Christmas' or 'Lenten' Rose as they tend to flower over December through to March. It is found that they are a close relative to the Buttercup family.

During the medieval era, Hellebore's were utilised to form medicines that would aid in the cure of gout, paralysis and insanity.

Planting Guide:

Helleborus are best planted in areas of dappled shade and should be placed in moist, well-drained soil. Water thoroughly and deeply and apply a generous layer of mulch to retain moisture levels and supplement nutritional value.
