Hydrangea Runaway Bride Snow White

Prestigious winner of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 'Plant of the Year' 2018 award.

One of the most floriferous and pretty as a picture, this hydrangea will be your match made in heaven.

A brand new type of hydrangea, Garland is named for reasons which will become obvious. Instead of one bloom at the end of each branch, like most hydrangea, garland produces blooms on each pair of leaves from early summer to autumn.

You will have up to six, large, stunning, lace cap flowerheads on each branch, looking just like living garlands.

Good for cutting and perfect for borders and containers. Prefers moist, neutral to acidic soil in sun or part shade. Height & spread 1.2m (4').  Fully hardy perennial.

Additional Information

Excellent as a dried flower. Prune in spring as new shoots appear. Propagate by softwood cuttings in early summer or hardwood cuttings in winter. All parts of hydrangeas can cause mild stomach upset if ingested. Contact with foliage may aggravate skin allergies. Try to use rainwater to water, since mains hard water can affect the flower colour, turning blue flowers mauve or pink. Apply a mulch to protect from excessive winter cold. Fully hardy perennial.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
