Hydrangea macroyphylla You and Me Perfection

Introducing 'Hydrangea You and Me Perfection', the new sister of Miss Saori and Love, bred by Rijoyi Irle in Japan where, because of the shortage of garden space, it is particularly important that plants are compact without compromising on flower power.

Outstanding double flowers form large rounded flower heads prolifically from July to October. Good for cutting and perfect for borders and containers. Prefers moist neutral to acidic soil in part shade. Height & spread 90cm (36”). Fully hardy perennial.

Additional Information

Great in containers and borders. The foliage takes on red overtones in the spring and autumn. Leave the old flower heads in place through the winter. As the new shoots start to emerge in spring cut back a third to a quarter of the previous seasons flowering stems to the base and cut back the remaining flower heads to the first pair of buds. Contact with hydrangea foliage may irritate the skin and eyes and all parts are harmful if eaten.Propagate by softwood cuttings in early summer or hardwood cuttings in winter. Fully hardy perennial.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
