As a little girl Hannah loved Iris, a flower that has inspired many a botanical artist over the years. Exotic looking flowers with purple petals and a yellow stripe are produced during the summer, over grey green sword shaped evergreen foliage which prefers to be kept on the dry side once the root system is established. In fact, very little water is required to produce the flowers from June to July and sometimes again in the autumn. Can be divided in the autumn once established. Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Height 50cm (20”) spread indefinite over several years. Hardy perennial.
