Kniphofia Rufa Rasta

Tall and stately with a funky twist.
Tall stems hold pendulous, limegreen, tubular flowers, each opening from a coral bud. Also known as Torch Lily, your garden will be set alight each summer above clumps of grassy foliage. Prefers poor, dry soil in sun or part shade. Height 1m (40"). Spread 45cm (18"). Fully hardy perennial. Supplied in 9cm pots.

Additional Information

Attractive to bees. Mulch young plants with straw or leaves for the first winter. Propagate by using new shoots as basal cuttings, seed, or division in the spring. It is possible to propagate Kniphofia by dividing mature plants during late spring. Fully hardy perennial

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
