Kolkwitzia amabillis 'Pink Cloud' (Beauty Bush)

Arching stems create a vase-like shape to this gorgeously striking shrub. From late spring, each stem hold clusters of small, scented, pink, bell-shaped flowers in adundance until mid-summer. Small fruits follow. Winter interest is provided bt peeling bark. Deer resistant. Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Height & spread 1.8-3m (6-10'). Hardy perennial. Supplied in 9cm pots from April onwards.

Scented. Deer resistant. Peeling bark in winter provides interest. Low maintenance. Pruning group 2: Prune immediately after flowering. Cut back flowered growth to strong young shoots lower down. Each year cut out up to 20 percent of ageing stems to near the base.This will encourage a strong plant and flowering. Hardy perennial.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
