Lavender angustifolia Munstead

Bees and butterflies love Lavender as we do too, and if blue does not fit in with your planting scheme why not plant white or pink? Create romantic walkways or plant alongside a bench, the fragrance enhances well-being and you will be fascinated watching your winged friends busily gathering nectar all summer long.
Also known as English Lavender, but actually originating from the Mediterranean, Lavender love dry sun baked soils. Attractive to bees, drought tolerant, excellent as dried flowers and happy in borders and containers. Prefers well-drained soil in sun. Hardy perennial.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
