Lupin Gallery Collection

The name Lupin derives from the Latin ‘lupines’ meaning wolf as the ‘peas’ that appear after flowering were said to be fit only for the consumption of wolves.

Like most members of their family, Gallery Lupins are very tolerant of poor soils and will actually add fertiliser back into the ground.

Growing to only 24" (60cm) tall, they are perfect for smaller gardens, and containers too. So easy to grow, the stunning spires appear in early summer and will add a touch of class to any border.

Prefer well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Height & spread 60cm (24"). Fully hardy perennials.

The collection comprises of;
6 young plants - 2 Blue,1 Pink,1 Red, 1 White and 1 yellow.
18 young plants - 6 Blue,3 Pink,3 Red, 3 White and 3 yellow.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
