A hardy little fellow, being native to Russia and introduced to Britain by the Knights of Malta (hence the name). Many individual bright scarlet orange red flowers shaped like a cross appear in summer making dense flower heads which are possibly the brightest scarlet herbaceous plant we have! A real must for much more that just a splash of colour. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Prefers well-drained soil in sun. Height 90cm (36”). Spread 60cm (24“). Hardy perennial.
P.S. Named London Pride after Mr London, a Royal Gardener who raised the plant.
