Named after a French nurseryman who produced the world's first plant catalogue in 1621. Stout stems hold whorls of tubular flowers, some pale pink and some almost red. As each flower is fertilised it becomes darker, encouraging insects to fertilise the lighter coloured ones. The glossy foliage is evergreen in a mild winter and releases an amazing citrus scent when brushed against. Height 60cm (24”). Spread 30cm (12”). Prefers full sun in moist well drained soil. Fully hardy perennial.
