Narcissus Erlicheer (Early Cheer)

Erlicheer has to be the most exquisite of all Narcissus. If you plant just one spring bulb, plant the most highly fragrant Narcissus of all time.

Also known as Early Cheer, it was introduced to us by a “plantaholic” who strongly recommended growing them indoors in a decorative pot for endless Christmas flowers and stunning scent. The beautiful yellow speckled flowers fade to an elegant, creamy white.

After flowering indoors you can plant the bulbs into borders or containers in your garden and experience the scent for years to come.

Delivered as size 13/15 bulbs in November, with our no quibble guarantee.
Erlicheer will grow to a height of 35cm and prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade.

Additional Information

Dead head flowers and remove faded foliage during mid summer. If they aren't flowering very well, provide a top-dress of slow release fertiliser around the base of your plant each spring. Don't tie up the foliage, instead let them die back naturally before cutting them. Will increase naturally by offsets, though dense clumps should be divided every 3 years, no sooner than 6 weeks after flowering. Hardy bulbous perennial.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
