Nerine Bowdenii

ADMIRED IN THE AUTUMN, EASY TO GROW WHEN PLANTED IN THE WINTER MONTHS.
It is said that Nerines drifted across the sea from South Africa, eventually landing on the island of Guernsey, and therefore named in reference to the 50 daughters of the sea-god Nereus. Height 45-60cm (18-24"), spread 35cm (14"). Fully hardy perennials. Supplied as large bulbs size 12-14.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.

Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
