Paeonia Iactiflora Do Tell


Exquisite, Paeonia are amongst the most beautiful fragrant flowering plants.

Bushy mounds of handsome, glossy foliage reappear each spring in readiness for incredible display of huge, double, scented blooms which are so highly sought after by florists and gardeners alike. The size, scent and beauty will just take your breath away.

Additional Information

Paeonia can take a season or two before they flower, however it is important that they have plenty of spring sunshine ro ripen the new shoots forming in the crown of the plant. They need to be planted with the growing eyes 2-3cm under the surface of the soil with plenty of soil depth beneath the roots. Propagate by division in early spring or take root cuttings in winter. Hardy perennial. Bare roots take up to 6-8 weeks to appear after planting.

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
