Penstemon Ice Cream, Melting Candy

Hayloft Plants are passionate about Penstemon and incredibly excited to be able to offer five brand new varieties.  Having trialled the range of Ice Cream varieties during 2006 we have selected five that produced an exceptional number of large flowers, yet coped with the extremities of our British weather.  Both drought tolerant and able to cope with a downpour of rain whilst remaining beautifully coloured and compact.  As with all Penstemon they illuminate the garden and provide a great source of nectar for passing insects.  Happy in sun or part shade, they cope with all soil conditions.  Flowering from May to November, and slug resistant!!
