Penstemon mixed collection

Penstemon are the insomniac party animals of the plant world that do without sleep for six months of the year. Summer arrives and they start flowering, summer ends and they are still at it, autumn comes around and they still show no signs of tiring. Tell then the party is over and they will just laugh! What other perennial is oblivious of drought or rain, resists slugs and other pests, positively thrives in most soil conditions in borders and containers, sun or part shade and propagates so painlessly?

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
