Additional Information

Potentilla will require a thorough watering in periods of prolonged drought, although regular watering is not necessary. During late spring, you may wish to apply a layer of compost or a fertiliser to as this will encourage healthy growth and development. At the end of the flowering period, cut out any old wood or alternatively cut back to ground level as this will allow it to regrow with vigour. Apply organic mulch as this will retain moisture levels whilst suppressing weeds. Fully hardy perennial.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
