Prunus Nipponica Var Kurilensis Brilliant

One of the hardiest ornamental cherry plants. Single, palest pink almost white, nectar-rich flowers are borne on bare chestnut-brown branches in spring before the emergence of new rusty-bronze foliage.
This dense, upright shrub or bushy tree will light up your autumnal borders or containers when the green foliage turns orange-red before falling at the beginning of winter. Attractive to bees. Prefers moist, well-drained soil in sun. Height 3m (10’). Spread 2.1m (7’). Fully hardy perennial. Supplied in 9cm pots.

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
