Scabious have many flowers borne on a single stalk which makes an exceptional long lasting cut flower. Full of nectar and vibrant in colour you will have your own butterfly ball in your garden all summer long. With regular dead heading your plants will continue flowering well into the autumn. Latest breeding means these tissue culture plants flower colours will not vary and their compact yet spreading habit makes excellent ground cover which is most unusual for a Scabious. Prefer sun or part shade in well-drained soil. Height 50cm (20”). Spread 40cm (16”). Hardy perennial.

Dead head regularly to promote further flowering. Divide and replant in fresh soil every 2-3 years to maintain vigour. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Hardy perennial.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower. Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F) Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)
Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
