Schizostylis coccinea Fenland Daybreak (Kaffir Lily)


Clumps of long narrow leaves are formed below clusters of Gladioli-like star-shaped blooms, each open wide like a Crocus, from August to November. Excellent as cut flowers. Prefer moist well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Height 60cm (24"). Spread 30cm (12"). Fully hardy perennials. Supplied as young plants.

Clump forming perennial that in late summer and through autumn produces spikes of gladioli like flowers over grassy foliage. Propagate by division in spring every few years to avoid congested clumps. Hardy perennial.
