Additional Information

Bee friendly. Good ground covering foliage. Water the soil when it becomes significantly dry, especially during periods of drought. Take care of Stachys where there has been significant rainfall as this may damage the foliage and ultimately lead to root rot. Spreading a layer of mulch at the base of your Stachys should prevent such an event from taking place. Trim your plant during the spring, removing old, dead and damaged parts of your plant and deadhead spent blooms to encourage a second profusion of flowers. Propagate by division in spring. Fully hardy perennial.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
