Who would guess that many of our Syringa’s distant cousins are planted across the Mediterranean as they are a member of the Olive family. These highly scented Lilacs are exquisite, heart shaped leaves and nectar rich conical flower appear throughout May and June. Bees and butterflies find this plant highly desirable and you too will want to be dance around the garden when you see this plant in full flower. Prefers full sun in fertile soil. Eventual height and spread 7m (23.3’). Fully hardy perennial.
