Additional Information

Perfect for a woodland area. When flowers fade, prune stalks off at the base, letting the foliage die back on its own. Tricyrtis toyen bloom when other shade lovers are long gone. It does not need dividing very often , but this can be done in spring. Cut back by half in early June to keep the height under control and to freshen plant foliage. During summer heat it may need extra watering. All parts are poisonous if ingested. Fully hardy perennial.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
