The name Agapanthus means ‘love flower’ in Greek. Clusters of star shaped blue-black flowers form huge globes from July to September upon tall stems above strap shaped foliage. The seed heads make an attractive feature over winter if left on, or cut for flower arranging. Prefers full sun in well-drained soil. Very drought tolerant. Height 60cm (24”) spread 30cm (12”). Hardy perennial. Delivery April 2008 onwards.
