The name Windflower is accounted for in several ways, one of which is William Turner’s statement ‘The flower never openth itselfe, but when the wynde bloweth’. They are essential ingredients in the late summer garden blooming proudly and reliably from July to November. Waving large showy semi-double flowers high above maple like leaves. Happy in sun or part shade and untroubled by pests they thrive in almost any soil. Spread 45cm (18”). Hardy perennial.
