Bletilla striata hybrid (Hyacinth Orchid)

An amazing orchid that can be grown in the garden. In spring, the rich green pleated foliage begins to emerge, which over several years forms a beautiful clump. During late spring, between 10-15 magenta pink flowers, each around 2” across will appear and continue to bloom into the summer. Prefers sun in well drained soil, though protect from very hot summer sun and excessive winter wet. Happy in borders and containers. Height 60cm (24”). Spread 60cm (24”) after several years. Hardy perennial.
