Catananche caerulea Alba

Named from the Greek word katananke meaning ‘most definitely’ and used by both the Greeks and the Romans in love potions. Silver buds form on single stems and open with papery bracts to show beautiful cornflower like flowers throughout the summer. Great for cutting and drying, happy in borders and containers. Height 60cm (24”). Spread 30cm (12”). Prefers full sun in well drained soil. Hardy perennial.
