Astrantia major Roma (Hattie’s Pincushion) We are not sure who Hattie was but the soft pink posies of tiny flowers, surrounded by papery bracts look just like her pincushion. Flowering from May to late summer the blooms are held high on wiry stems and are great for fresh and dried flowers. Attractive to bees and butterflies, slug and rabbit resistant. Prefers moist soil in sun or part shade though will tolerate drier conditions. Height 50cm (20”). Spread 30cm (12”). Hardy perennial.
