Originating in the grasslands of South Africa but named from the Greek ‘Krokos’ meaning saffron and ‘osme’ meaning smell as when rubbed the leaves give a scent of saffron. These plants will really heat up your garden with many enormous blooms for three months during the Summer and Autumn. Trouble free, easy to grow, slug and rabbit resistant and good for cutting. Prefers well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Height 90-110cm (36-44”). Spread 10cm (4”). Hardy perennial.
