Dictamnus (Burning Bush) purpureus AGM

It won’t call out to you likes it’s distant relative in the bible but the lemon scented aromatic vapour can be ignited without any damage to the plant.  Spires of mauve lily like flowers with darker veins are produced in early summer after which curious star shaped seed pods are formed which are great for flower arrangements.  Trouble free in sun or part shade, drought tolerant and rabbit resistant.  Height 90cm (36”).  Spread 60cm (24”).  Hardy perennial.
