One of the favourite herbs of the North American Indians centuries ago. Used for many maladies; in fact a Native American who was feeling a little ‘out of sorts’ would often be found walking around all day, sucking on a piece of Echinacea root. Orange yellow solitary flower heads with a spiny central cone (Echinos is Greek for spine) are attractive to bees and butterflies, ideal for cutting, long flowering and trouble free. Tolerant of soil conditions in sun but will also tolerate part shade. Height 60cm (24”). Spread 45cm (18”). Hardy perennial. Delivery April onwards.
