Closely related to the Wallflower, this dainty cottage garden perennial provides a breath of fresh air from late winter as it bounces into action by producing many fragrant flowers. Blooming until early summer they are great as cut flowers. Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade. An early flowerer and similar to Bowles Mauve but with much larger purple-mauve flowers. Height 40cm (16") spread 35cm (14"). Prefer full sun in poor to moderately fertile soil. Hardy perennial.
