Exochorda macrantha The Bride

(Pearl Bush)
An amazing sight to see, as for around six weeks from May the arching branches are heavily laiden with open white flowers. So much so that the green foliage can hardly be seen.

A decidious shrub that can be trained up a wall, with leaves that turn delicious shades of orange before falling in the autumn.
Prefers moist well-drained soil in sun or part shade.
Fully hardy perennial.

Ask a QuestionPlant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
