Samobor was first discovered in 1990 at a nursery in Kent. It is loved for its amazing scalloped foliage, as each new leaf has a cherry black spot, which changes as the leaf matures to form a dark circle. One of it’s common names is ‘Mourning Widow’ which is said to come from the flower colour, deepest royal purple burgundy, on slender stems. These blooms appear from spring to late summer. Great in full sun or deep shade, even happy under trees if given moisture. Height 50cm (24”). Spread 30cm (12”). Hardy perennial.
